Students of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) taking Environmental Management (Elect 104) subject attended “SEAnergies” environmental exhibit on November 24 at the Reception hall of the Philippine International Convention Center.The 162 Letranites who trooped to the PICC are class members of MK3A, FM3A, FM3B, OM3A and OM3B.
The exhibit was organized and sponsored by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Simultaneous with the exhibit is the East Asian Seas Congress plenary and parallel sessions attended by participants from China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines. They tackled issues on marine environment, the effects of climate change, global warming and waste management.
Each country booth showcased their government’s effort, programs and projects to address their issues and problems that involved technology to solve all environmental concerns.
The Letranites were awakened with their sense of awareness and concern of the environment, in which they did not hesitate to ask questions and inquire to the different Asian representatives during the exhibit. They were given brochures, pamphlets, flyers, magazines and compact discs for the preparations of their reaction and position papers for their next classroom session back in Letran.They were accompanied by area chairman, Mr. Jonathan de Leon and Mr. Aldrin Sacristan.
