The five graduates of batch 2009 of the College of Education took and passed the recent licensure examination for teachers held last October 4, 2009, garnering for the Colegio a 100% passing rate.  The successful Letranites are: Rex Arthur Amponin (BSE Mathematics), Joanna Marie Fajardo (BSE English), Mark Neil Natividad (BSE English) Rolando Pascual, Jr. (BSE Mathematics), and Rhoneil Tabuena (BSE Mathematics).

The examination, which was said to have been revised to accommodate changes in the new Education curriculum, consisted of three parts: general education, professional education, and specialization (focusing on majors). The takers, who graduated under the old Education curriculum, said that they had to really prepare for the examination because some topics in the examination were not part of their curriculum.  Preparations did not come easy on their part: Amponin, Natividad and Tabuena enrolled in review classes at the Philippine Normal University, while Fajardo and Pascual self-reviewed.  

To date, Amponin, Fajardo, Pascual & Tabuena have taken on teaching as their profession.  Natividad on the other hand is currently enrolled as a graduate student majoring in Education.
